Black Art Perspective website was created in 2020 by Melvin Isaac, a native of Brownsville East New York Section of  Brooklyn.  In addition,  

 in 2006 Melvin founded The Artistic Talents, Inc. not for profit 501 (c) (3) organization for the exhibition, promotion and publication of the fine and performing arts in the City & State of New York, consisting primarily of artists of African American descent; the stimulation and encouragement of community interest in the field of fine and performing arts, the development and achievement of creativity as an expression of the community's status and heritage. 

Black Art Perspective continues to promote and publicize the arts.  Art is, after all, the audio/visual history of our people and the artists are the storytellers of that history. Black Art Perspective is a showcase of artists, communicating the stories, sights and sounds of a people's experience from the homeland to their travels across the seas to new lands.

The mission of the Black Art Perspective is to educate the public of the healing process in reducing, tension, stress, anger through art exhibitions, displays, and advertising.  We are making artwork available to our Brooklyn neighbors.  

Black Art Perspective give the best artwork depicting Beautiful African American Heritage Culture Art hand painting & sketching  such as; portrait, landscape, seascape, still life, abstract on walls, canvas, and drawing paper. 

Melvin  is a Vietnam Era Veteran, a Certify Community Producer, a Professional Artist, a member of the Fulton Art Fair, and an Associate with the Dorsey Art Gallery who has been drawing, sketching, painting, and teaching art for over 30 years to the youths in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and Manhattan.  

Accomplishments 

Melvin have a bachelors’ degree from Marist College, Poughkeepsie NY, and a certificate in commercial/drawing & painting.

Melvin received several awards and honors from Vietnam Memorial Art Gallery NY, Fortune Society, Puffin Foundation, Alliance of Queens Art.  In 2007 I have been chosen the feature of the month, “City Watch: Interview with Art Teacher”, by Denise Benson, Special to the Epoch Times, and “Who Says Art Isn’t Easy?” by Leonard Jacobs, editor of Brooklyn Community Access Television.
